Geist Heist (wip)

Geist Heist is a 3D third person stealth game where you are playing as Oli Hubert who was a collector of things from all around the world when he was alive. He passed away in a tragic accident and later his house was opened up as a museum causing Oli to wake up and try and take his stuff back. you can use some nearby objects to hide from guards and use them as distractions while you sneak around and get your most prized possessions back into your ownership and keep them from whoever turned your house into a museum.

What did I do?

This is my capstone so I have done a lot for the project so far. One of the earliest things that I worked on that isn't really player facing is the debug console so that testing is a lot easier. but also I worked on the vending machine possessable and I have done some stuff to help out with the guards. Bug fixing has been what I've been on for the majority of the time recently because it's needed for a game to be in a playable state

What did I learn?

I've learned a lot in this capstone. One of the big things that was really nice to learn about is the debug console and how much that can help when testing. for the longest time I felt like I hadn't done much because a lot of the stuff that I have done at that point wasn't player facing but seeing how much it gets used it was worth all the time I put into it. and when working on a bigger team like this with a team of 20+ people sometimes doing those backend things are more important.
