Djinn and Tonic
Djinn and tonic is a 48 hour Game Jam game made by a team of 12 people ranging from juniors in collage to working with some of the students in the masters program at Bradley University. It is a drink serving simulator where you are serving drinks using the souls of the dead to make the drinks. You harvest the souls from the graveyard behind the bar making your time management be in the forefront of your mind at all times. Depending on the drink changes what kind of souls you have to use to make the drinks.
What did I do?
My main contribution to this game jam was the customer system. I made the system where the customers would come up and order drinks from you and how long they would stay and the weights of what drinks would be ordered how often and when the drinks would start to be ordered.

What did I learn?
For this project we tried to do something a bit different from what normally happens and the programmers all had their own individual systems that we kept separate while making them and then tried to connect them all up starting around the 30 hour mark. This was a mistake that I have since learned from because we did not go over the connection points of each system before hand causing a lot of issues when combining system causing the game to be in a really buggy state at the end of the 48 hours.
