UnInverse

UnInverse is a 3D puzzle game that was made for a prototyping class that we can use for jumping off points going into capstone. This puzzle game is taking the world and splitting it into 2. whatever action you take in one world has an equal and opposite action in the other. You move boxes around to put them in different places on the other side. If you destroy a box in one place it gets created in the other.

What did I do?

I was the programming lead for this project. I was managing the other programmers and helping out when I was needed to help. There was some people who did some programming on the team but not too much of it so I was always available to help out when needed. I also mainly focused on the player movement making sure that it felt normal to move the player in the world with 2 different sides.

What did I learn?

I learned a lot of what it means to be a lead. There was a system that we had made where the game was on a grid which made the boxed moving work perfectly fine but it wasn't feeling good to use at all so I went and talked with the producer and design lead and said that we should really change this and it seems like something that me and the other programmers are down to do and we worked on it together and fully reworked the system to the point where you could push boxes around real time which made it feel a lot better and made the me and the other programmers really happy because it felt like it was higher quality work
