Forklift Monkeys
You are four monkeys that found themselves in an abandoned warehouse with four forklifts and you find yourself in a battle between the four of you to see who can ultimately get forklift certified though a chaos inducing 60 seconds trying to knock each other off the big platform in the middle. Forklift Monkeys is a four player party game that was made for Bradley University IM department's Fuse showcase in 2023.
What did I do?
There was a power up system that ended up being cut that I worked on a good bit but I also worked on player movement, knockback between players, and the falling shelves that knock the players off of them when ran into.
What did I learn?
This was my first project that I worked with a team on and this class what multi cohort class so I was able to learn from other people who knew more about how to make games, this really helped me when it came to working in 3D for the first time, its a big jump to make and the people I got to work with on it helped a lot with this process. Another thing was how to not getting too attached to mechanics, A lot of my time was spent making the item system and it ended up having to be cut.
